Home | Revels North

This webpage doesn't have a defined page title of an appropriate length.

A webpage title, or title tag, is the text that's displayed on the tab of a browser window and as the headline on a search engine result. It acts as the title for the content of the webpage and should preview and clearly define what the webpage is about.

The ideal title tag is between 60 and 80 characters in length and should contain important, quality keywords relevant to the page.

Page Description

This webpage doesn't have a defined page description of an appropriate length.

A webpage description, or meta description tag, is the text that's displayed under the headline on a search engine result. Like the page title, the description should provide a little more information about what the contents of the webpage is about.

The ideal page description is between 160 and 180 characters in length and should contain similar, supportive text to the title tag.

H1 Header

An Important Update from our Artistic DirectorMany Thanks to Our Sponsors

This webpage doesn't have 1 and only 1 H1 header on the page.

An H1 header tag is like the main headline for a webpage. Differing from a page title, the header isn't displayed on the browser tab or search engine result, but it's often the first text that a user sees when visiting a webpage, and should clearly introduce the content that it appears before.

Every webpage should have 1 and only 1 H1 header tag per page, and it should include relevant, quality keywords.

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that there will be no Midwinter Revels show this year. This past couple of years has been incredibly tough financially for us, like many other arts organizations, and rebuilding as an organization from the pandemic has been a lot tougher than we could have imagined. We are now in a financial crisis as an organization and have had to take the very difficult and hard decision to not return with our traditional Midwinter Revels Show this year. These productions cost 10's of thousands of dollars to put on, from performers, venue, lighting, sound, set, costumes and so much more and trying to put on a show of this magnitude this year would end our organization for good, which as many of you know also provides magical and valuable multi-generational programming for the community throughout the year. So, with this decision we will be focusing our work on a brand-new fundraising campaign which will be coming soon, this will have a detailed breakdown of what it takes to run our Revels organization and what your money and fundraising efforts will directly support. So please watch this space for more information on this coming soon!In the meantime, one way to really support the magic that is Revels North is to support our year round programs.  For example, Saturday 13th April sees the exciting return of the Revels Spring Sing which not only features a concert and sing-along in the evening, but also a full day singing workshop where we will learn some stunning VT/NH song in 3 and 4 part harmony. We are overjoyed for this year's Spring Sing to be joined by the fabulous folk singer Jennifer Curtin who will be performing as part of the evening event. We also have a very exciting SUMMER REVELS DAY coming up on June 9th in Fairlee VT, and the return of Revels Kids in September along with many other fun activities including Community Dances, Pub Sings and more. You can find out more about our upcoming programming by heading to The success and your support of these programs will ensure that Revels North will continue to exist and grow for many years to come. Please reach out to me (Alex Cumming), our Executive Director Julia Hautaniemi or our amazing board if you have any questions. We appreciate you all so much and we look forward to seeing you all at an event very soon. Many Thanks to Our SponsorsRevels North is a non-profit arts organization providing year-round, multi-generational programming that celebrates the power of traditional song, dance, storytelling and ritual.Revels North is committed to providing equitable access to all of our programs and events. This webpage contains over 500 words of content.

Because search engines crawl and index content, and the more content that a webpage has the greater potential for the page to rank for multiple keywords, webpages should contain a good amount of content with more than 500 words being a good benchmark for a regular page, and 1,000 words for blog posts.

The content should be rich with quality, original content - not containing "fluff" just to fill up the space. Having more content will also likely help the page to rank better for search queries as well as rank for more search queries.
